Anybody wishing to join the Ball State Fencing Club is welcome to the call-out meeting on Monday, January 18 at 10:00pm in Ball Gym room 125.  We will be answering questions about the club and fencing, giving information on the beginner foil class, and will even start teaching new members how to fence foil.Interested individuals are asked to bring a photocopy of their Ball State ID, wear comfortable tennis shoes and work out appropriate clothing, and bring a friend along with you.  The evening will start with an introduction of officers and instructors, a short demonstration of what fencing is and what you will be learning, and will conclude with your first lesson in how to hold a fencing foil and move like a fencer.  The class will last approximately 6 weeks and will conclude with a small in-club tournament against your fellow beginner foil participants.

Students joining the foil class for the first time will not be required to pay club dues until the end of the 6-week class.  You are welcome to come and go as you please, there will always be an instructor willing to work with you and catch you up on lessons you have missed.

For more information, contact the Ball State Fencing Club through their contact page.
